History of Rose Hill

  Welcome to the web home of the Rose Hill Historical Society. 

The organization was started in 2007 with the intent of preserving the past and to build community support for the historical society.

 














 

News!

The Historical Museum Will be open on Saturday Feb. 13th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and again on Saturday Feb. 27th From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please stop by and visit. We are currently looking for more artifacts to display, especially artifacts that have to do with businesses in Rose Hill past or present. If you have something you think the Historical museum would like to display please use the contact link on the left.

Purpose  

The purposes of this organization are as follows:

A. To build support in the community for Rose Hill Historical Society.

B. To encourage gifts, endowments, bequests, and memorials to the organization.

C. To enhance the image, materials, services, and facilities of the Society by undertaking specific projects on its behalf.

D. To maintain an association of individuals, civic organizations, businesses, and other groups with specific projects on its behalf.

E.   To create public awareness of the activities of the Historical Society and encourage participation in the organization.

Membership in the Rose Hill Historical Society shall be open to anyone interested in supporting its purposes. Organizations, clubs, and businesses may become members.

Meeting Dates/Time:

First Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Rose Hill Historical Museum, located at 106 S main Street. The Public is invited to attend the meetings and are encouraged to become members.
