Honoring Early Rose Hill, Kansas

About Us

The Rose Hill Historical Society was created in 2007 and has been a member of the Chamber for four years. The organization’s main objective is to have our generation preserve the history of the past generations, so that future generations will keep the history of Rose Hill alive.

The Historical Society is highly involved in the Rose Hill community. Some activities they are involved with include the Fall Festival Committee, hosting a car show in the spring and running a firework stand in the summer. The organization was also the initial creator of Hometown Christmas.

The Historical Society recently opened a new building with additional space and new exhibits for you and your family to enjoy. One of their recent projects was to have a bench put in front of their main building in honor of Charlie Futhey and in honor of the positive impact he had on the Rose Hill Community.

The Historical Society is completely run by volunteers, so if you have any specific talents that you believe could be helpful to us, are a history buff, or simply just want to help out in any way you can, they would be happy to have your support.

The Historical Society has a Facebook page called Rose Hill Historical Society. Both their Facebook page and this website display pictures of the Historical Society’s exhibits and the events they are involved in as well as provide a way for people like you to contact them and volunteer to help. Help keep the history of Rose Hill alive for generations to come!
